In 2019, Mickey and his wife, Malia, decided to become licensed foster parents in Indiana. Early on their journey, they fostered two young brothers. The four of them had a strong connection upon meeting for the first time. A couple of years later, Mickey and Malia were able to adopt the boys and call them their sons.
